Reach, SAA and Sembawang

Despite its buzzing economy and rosy outlook, Singapore is encountering an upswing in its suicidal rate, growing from 346 cases in 2003 to 419 last year. The suicide victims are mainly men in their 40s and women in their 50s, who belong to the so-called ‘sandwich generation’. Discussion thread on REACH

New blog – The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) is the internationally recognised training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Through its three specialised schools – School of Aviation Management, Air Traffic Services and Airport Emergency Services – SAA claims to have trained over 38,000 participants from 190 countries. Update – the SAA blog has apparently been deleted ! Wish I had taken a screenshot!

Feels like deja vu – campaign to save natural enclave at Sembawang This was 2 years ago, I wonder what happened?
